Cotali Mar Wedding
New Bedford, MA

Katie and Ryan planned a beautiful wedding at Cotali Mar in New Bedford, MA.   Cotali Mar was absolutely beautiful, intimate and elegant. It was the perfect location for a rainy day wedding!

First, I started my day meeting with the groom at his home so I could meet the fur babies! The little min-pins were decked out for mom and dad’s big day. Although the invitation did not extend to the pups, they were dressed to the nines in celebration!

The ladies got ready at home. When the Bride is a hair stylist, you can expect the full glam squad! All the ladies had their hair and makeup done professionally, adding the extra touch of perfection on the day. Extra hairspray was in need for this rainy day!

I fell in love with Katie’s Badgley Mischka beaded flats. They were the perfect wedding day shoes, not only beautiful, but perfect for dancing the night away.

The guys got ready in the wine cellar of Cotali Mar. It was the perfect man den for their pre-ceremony festivities and cigars.

The rain never let up and as a result, the ceremony and cocktail hour were moved inside. The indoor reception area was cozy, complete with a fire place. The ceremony was short and sweet. As always, I got teared up as they exchanged vows with their closest friends and family looking on.

After the formal portraits were all taken care of, it was clear the wedding party was ready to get dancing! The night was full of fun and laughter. In addition, I was able to witness multiple lip syncs by the groom and his friends to assorted N’Sync songs. Consequently, all the guests had a blast at Katie & Ryan’s wedding reception at Cotali Mar.

Lastly, I was able to pull the bride and groom outside in the rain for some night portraits. Most of all, night time photography is extra special in the rain. As much as I love sun soaked images, I will take the occasional rainy day.
