I first got the photography bug when I wanted amazing pictures of my first baby, Fenway, my loving Boston Terrier. I finally got my first “nice” camera a few months before finding out I was pregnant with my son. So naturally, I decided to try to channel my inner Heidi Hope and do my own newborn portraits. Well let me tell you… I was no Heidi Hope (still not)! Slightly discouraged, I kept at getting family snapshots for the following year. When I found out I was pregnant again, I was determined to take amazing photos of my daughter. I soaked up every bit of knowledge I could about photography. The more I learned, the more I loved the art of it. By the time my daughter arrived, I was ready.
Not only did I get great newborn photos of my daughter, I realized how dear they were to my heart. For the first time, I had large canvases of my children hanging in my home. They were beautiful, and they touched my heart everyday. I wanted to share this feeling with every new mother!
I started my business wanting to photograph newborns. I instead found I had a knack for high school seniors. I loved my senior sessions so much, I took the past year to focus mainly on them. And although I LOVE my seniors, I’m coming back to my roots with some newborn love.
My first newborn session in over a year, and it was fantastic! A wonderful family, a sweet little girl – you just can’t go wrong. I am so happy they invited me to photograph their baby girl (and sneak in some newborn cuddles).
